Volunteering in Health is a charity based at Teignmouth Hospital, supporting people in Teignmouth, Dawlish and Chudleigh to live happily, safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible through a range of services.
Supporting
They support people with things like transport to medical appointments; practical help around the house; coming home from hospital; and offer 1:1 home visits for people with dementia and life limiting conditions and their carers.
Connecting
They help people to find and access their services and other community and voluntary sector services in the community. So if you’re not sure where to turn, try them first and they will help to find the right support for you!
Empowering
They work with people 1:1 and in groups to understand what’s important to them. They help people set and work towards realistic goals for themselves that will help them improve their own health and well-being long term.
