When the surgery is closed, evenings, night and week ends, there is still a doctor available if you have an emergency. 

If you need to talk to a doctor at these times, ring your usual surgery number. You will hear an answer machine message which asks you to ring the local emergency number (Devon Doctors On Call) on

0845 6710270

The operator will take your details and put you through to the duty doctor. The doctor may be able to help you over the phone. The doctor will decide if you need to be seen. If you do need to be seen, he/she will arrange for you to come to the centre at Teignmouth Hospital or if you are too ill, will visit you at home. 

Devon Doctors on Call is staffed by GPs who work throughout South Devon. Details of your attendance is forwarded to your own GP the next day.
