KIND GIFTS AND DONATIONS TO THE PRACTICE
At the end of March 2005, the Practice received a donation of £300 from SureStart in Teignmouth for the purchase of toys for Channel View Surgery. We purchased some new washable toys for the Waiting Room, and an activity table for the use of children who attend the surgery. In July 2005, we received a £50 donation from Mrs Janet Jameson on behalf of her late mother, Ethel Castleton, who had been treated by the surgery immediately prior to her death. The gift was for the Chudleigh Health Centre, and with the money we purchased some limited edition prints of Devon towns and a bohemian glass vase for flowers for the Waiting room. In September 2005, Breatheasy of Teignmouth kindly purchased some respiratory equipment for Channel View Surgery. The items were a hand-held spirometer and four nebulisers. These nebulisers will be used both in the surgery and for patients to use on short-term loan in their own homes. In December 2005, The Rotary Club of Bovey Tracey & District kindly donated money for the purchase of a hand-held spirometer and a blood pressure monitor for Chudleigh Health Centre. The blood pressure monitor is in our Chudleigh Waiting Room for patients to self-test their blood pressure. In July 2006, we received a high backed chair for the Waiting Room at Chudleigh Health Centre. This was donated by Mrs Janet Jameson, marking the anniversary of the passing of her late mother, Ethel Castleton. The chair will be of great assistance to our less mobile patients.
A big "thank you" to everyone who has thought of us and made kind donations!
