We run a range of nurse-led clinics. For an appointment or further details, please call your usual surgery.
We have two trained Stop Smoking Counsellors who can help you quit as part of an organised 6 week programme and we currently can offer this from our Chudleigh and Teignmouth sites. Please contact either surgery to make an appointment to start your raod to becoming smoke free.

This clinic is run by the midwives. If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital, or both.

All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from six weeks old.
At our Chudleigh Health Centre site.
Minor operations are carried out in our Treatment Room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.
By appointment at any site
Led by our nursing team, we offer advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Asthma sufferers can make an appointment for advice and support from our nurses who specialise in asthma care.
Primary care services not available at our practice can be accessed by contacting NHS Devon on (01392) 205205.
All patients aged 75 and over are entitled to an annual check with our practice nurse to have their health assessed. This is an optional service that may not be necessary if you attend the surgery regularly.
Our Practice Nurses provide a wide range of clinics, treatments and health advice at all three surgeries. The nurses also manage all those patients with chronic diseases.
For minor injuries up to 48 hrs patients should visit their local Minor Injuries Unit at Teignmouth Hospital or Newton Abbot Hospital.

Contraception and HRT
Health Lifestyle Advice
The practice has its own team of District nurses who visit patients in their own homes to assess needs and carry out appropriate nursing care. The District nurses can be contacted on request via the surgery.
Our Health Visitors are now based at Teignmouth Hospital Please telephone them on 01626 771128 to make an appointment.
The Midwife is available by appointment for ante-natal checks at Channel View, Bishopsteignton Surgery and Chudleigh Health Centre. (See page 3 for details)
We have a Specialist Palliative Care nurse attached to Channel View Medical practice. The Palliative Care Team is based at Rowcroft Hospice and can be contacted on (01803) 217630.
Mental Health Services
Louise Arscott is our in-house Registered Mental Nurse and manages our well-being clinics under the guidance of the GPs.
Employment, Life Insurance and Driving Medicals, Passport applications etc.
Your doctor will be pleased to provide these but, as they are not covered by the NHS, a charge will be made in accordance with the rates displayed in reception. Most insurance and pre-employment medical reports are paid for by the company concerned.

Travel Vaccination Questionnaire
Please complete and bring to your travel appointment
Our Practice Nurses are able to provide free NHS travel vaccinations for Diphtheria, polio, tetanus booster, Hepatitis A and Typhoid. You will be given a 30 minute appointment to assess which vaccinations are needed. Please do not leave it too late to make an appointment, and give us at least six weeks notice, as many vaccines need to be given as a course over a few weeks. Please ensure you book your appointment in good time.
Channel View Surgery are unable to provide any further vaccinations or anti-malarials but there are local, private, travel clinics that provide this service. See information below.....
